Everything you need to know about the XI Oboe Festival Palma.
It’s coming back! One of the events of the year for oboist, has a date! It is the 11th edition of the Oboe Festival Palma which offers six days of music with outstanding masters of the Oboe.
When will be the XI Oboe Festival Palma?
It will take place from March 13 to 18, 2023.
Where will it be held?
At the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears, in Palma, Balearic Islands (Spain).
Which artists and oboists will be invited?
Great masters of the oboe world will attend this fantastic musical evening. Thomas Indermühle, Bruno Lucas, Javier Arnal, Dudu Carmel, Magí Garcías, Jose Antonio Masmano, Daniel Fuster, Arie van der Beek and Petar Hristov.
Which brands will be present?
There will be different brands and sponsors that you can find on the website of the event, but without a doubt, the brand of reeds for oboe that you cannot miss is ours! We will be in some workshop and we will also expose all the reedmaking machines we have available.
What activities will be carried out?
There will be classes, workshops and concerts. Remember, there are six days of individual and group classes on:
- Interpretation
- Instrumental technique
- Contemporary techniques
- Orchestral repertoire
What will the workshops be about?
Angel Martinez will be in charge of teaching and demonstrating some basic aspects of instrumental maintenance while checking minor instrument maladjustments of the active students’ instruments.
In addition, we will be with Reed Machines for an exhibition of oboes and oboe materials.
What are the prices?
The price for active students is 300 €, while the fee for students who are not active is 180 €.
AFOES members have a special 10% discount on the registration fee (the different discounts are not cumulative).
There is also a special price for students of professional/superior conservatories of the Balearic Islands: 180€ and for students of the medium/superior conservatory of the Balearic Islands: 50€.
Piano accompaniment for student audition 60€.
