An ingenious two-blade design prepares the cane for before gouging. A flat blade cuts the part to the correct width, at the same time the patented round blade, the semi-circular gouge to almost the final gouging dimensions. After this step, it only takes 3-4 passes with a gouge to finish the reed.
The anodized aluminum bed surface ensures a long service life. By rotating the patented cylindrical blade, you can use the entire perimeter of the blade. The reversible flat blade is sharpened on both sides to double life.
For added comfort and safety, the included C-shaped jack holds the machine securely to the edge of the table.
If you are working with, for example, oboe and English horn heads, we recommend the Exchange Kits. They make changing a diameter from one bed to the other a breeze.
